He is the first cricketer in the history of cricket world, who scores a century and takes a hat-trick in a test match.
Sohag made his debut at domestic league of Bangladesh in 2010 for Barisal division against Chittagong division. He performed well in domestic leagues and succeeds to attract the eye of National Team selectors. Soon he got the call of selectors and got a chance of playing as a player of National team against West Indies.
Sohag Gazi took 6 wickets in 2nd innings of his debut test match and 4 wickets in his debut one day match which is a record for any Bangladeshi bowlers. Though, he took three wickets in that innings.
