Rushanara Ali is a famous British Bangladeshi politician in Britain. She is working for British Labour Party. She is the Member of Parliament for Bethnal Green and Bow. She has been doing this job since 2010. She is pride of Bangladesh. She spreads the fame of Bangladesh all over the world.
It is important to us that Rushanara Ali is a Bangladeshi origin woman. She was born in Sylhet, Bangladesh. At the age of seven, she went to East End of London. She completed her education at Mulberry School for Girls and Tower Hamlets College. Then she studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at St John’s College, Oxford.
Rushnara Ali did massive struggle to get this position where she comes today. At first she was a Research Assistant to Michael Young on an independent learning program. Another job was to develop “Language line”, which was a national telephone interpreting service over 100 languages. She was also worked as a Parliamentary Assistant to Oona King in 1997 to 1999.
In the year of 2007, Rushnara was elected as the Labour Party’s prospective Parliamentary candidate for Bethnal Green and Bow. But, she got the massive reward in 2010. In that year, she elected as a Member of Parliament. That was great news for all Bangladeshis, because she is the first Bangladeshi origin person who has elected to the House of Commons.
