Nirmalendu Goon is the most popular poet of Bangladesh in this time. His impressive personality attracts millions of fans of him. He makes our Bengali literature more enrich than before. He is some of rare person who openly protested Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s assassination in 1975. He wrote tons of pros and poems in his career. Here we give you a short review of his life.
Nirmalendu Goon was born in 21 June, 1945 at Kashbon in Barhatta, Netrokona which was individed India that time, but now it is in Bangladesh.
In the year of 1970, he published his very first poetry book. That was the first step of climbing a mountain. Then, he published almost 45 books of poetry. He was not only a poet, but also a writer too. He wrote 20 collections of prose too. He was the writer of poor. He defined the difference between rich and poor in his written. He always wants freedom for everyone which was focused in his poetries and prose many times.
He wrote some poems on important personalities. Some of his poems are based on Rabindranath Tagore, Sheikh Mujib, Lenin, Shakti Chattapaddhay etc.
Nirmalendu Goon loves to paint. He painted many painting in his life. He drew the cover of his first own book by himself. Actually painting was also his one kind of hobby. He has a lot of paintings by his own. In 2009, he arranged his first exhibition in the seminar room of public library, Dhaka.
