Muhammed Zafar Iqbal is very prominent writer in Bangladesh. He belongs to a very prolific family. He is the younger brother of Humayun Ahmed who probably the most famous writer in Bangladesh. His family members are also very well known to the country. Muhammed Zafar Iqbal is widely known for his children’s literature and science fiction. He always raises his voice against anti-liberation party of Bangladesh.

Muhammed Zafar Iqbal lost his father in 1971 during the Liberation War, who was a police officer. He passed his SSC in 1968 From Bogra Zilla School. He passed his HSC in 1970 from Dhaka College. He completed his BSc in Physics from Dhaka University in 1976. He got his Ph.D. from University of Washington in 1982. After getting Ph.D., he joined California Institute of Technology (Caltech) for post-doctoral research work from 1983 to 1988. Then he joined Bell Communications Research as a scientist. He left Bell Communications Research in 1994 and joined at the CSE department in Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST).

He started his writing at a very early stage of life. His whole family was involved in writing, so that he could get his platform from his family. At the age of seven, he wrote his first short story. He is now very much popular for his science fictions and children’s books.
